    Goodbye Q.

Hey BerryAdict, there are enough conspiracy theories already... I'm just a guy who wanted to be sure people loved their Curve 8330s before I tossed my old phone away and made the switch to BB for the first time. Thanks to everyone else who helped me make the decision.

Now... I just have to figure out how to get the most out of it!
Stick around here and you'll know exactly how to get the most out of your new device! Congratulations on a very smart move!

    thanks for the welcome

First thing will be to set up gmail.
Do you suggest that I use the gmail app and do it as IMAP
or use the BB setup wizard to create the account?

Dont install the APP....save the space for other fun apps

use the BB setup Wizzard>Internet Email> and point it to your Gmail account....it will do the rest

( note...might be the exact steps ...but close...I use a BES to push my emails )

I have had no luck with my Motorolas in the past. I haven't owned the Q, but I know others that have. Out of those I know that have had one all but one has changed to a different phone (not necessarily a Blackberry). The last one I know is really liking the Blackberry Bold. I'm sure she'll defect after it's released.

If you are used to labels, stars, archiving, etc. install the app. if you dont use those features, setup account with the BIS. imo

I kept thinking, but I did it.

A few hiccups along the way, but it seems to be working pretty well
now, I just have to make it work "for me"
    as in customizing

    thanks

I had the Blackjack, and I hated it. I will never get another Windows Mobile device again. I have had my curve for about two months, and absolutely love it. I can not imagine having another phone, other than the blackberry again.
