I had an e-book program for a while...Didn't use it too much and don't remember what it was.
but the book wasn't stored on the SD card, it loaded it page-by-page like an e-mail...

...no wonder I stopped using it...
Cingular is now the new at&t

U have the option to choose where to store ebooks thru the desktop program but the default is the phone.

I had dozens of them stored on an SD card for my Treo.

(IMHO, the most glaring oversight on the Curve is no external card access. Totally, unforgivably, beyond-reason ASSININE. )

you can store 'em on a card, but - at least in my experience - if you do you can't add bookmarks, notations, etc. basically everytime you want to read a book you have to slog through the pages to find out where you left off.

makes it kinda pointless, i think. hopefully mobi will address this issue soon.

I think you have to make sure Mass Storage Support is unchecked in OPTIONS - MEDIA CARD. At least that was one of the things I did trying to get mine to be recognized.

Re: MobiReader Ebooks and Memory Card

What about the opposite? Saving the ebooks on the device memory and NOT the SD card? I could do it with the older versions of Desktop Manager, but with the new Roxio media manager, it won't recognize the ebook files and won't let me transfer them to the device itself. Anyone know how to get around this?
