    Micro SD card for Curve

    Hi,

I am non-techie so please excuse this basic question: on eBay I noticed listings for Micro SD card for Curve, Treo 750 etc. Are not all micro SD cards the same and may be used for various smartphones?

BTW, how do they get the cards sold at lower prices?

    Cheers.

Well pretty much, without getting into much detail. If your device supports a micro sd card just about any sandisk, kingston, etc micro sd memory card will work. There are no blackberry cards and treo cards, just design and capacities. FYI, I'm pretty sure the Treo 750 uses a mini sd card which is bigger than the micro sd.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~from my experience i believe memory cards have different speeds too. However I'm not sure if this applies to microSD cards. The speed determines how fast you can access the information stored on the card. I know this is true for other types of flash memory. Does anyone know what speeds if any microSD cards come in?

Im not sure speed would really play a factor, except for video. To my understanding the speed is more for high capacity transfer, like a higher end digital camera, where writing to the card quicker is better. 2MP, just isnt that intensive. Although writing to the card seems faster than writing to internal memory.

That said, I could be wrong. It's been known to happen. I just picked up a Kingston Micro SD 2GB card from Amazon for $23 shipped and it works fine for me.
