I have NO messages in my Messages folder yet on my home screen the icon on top still shows that I have one message. Anybody else ever seen this? Anybody know how to make it go away? It's not that big of a deal...just annoying

You probably have an email or an SMS have you checked both folders? I have my phone set where emails and sms come to the message screen (SMS Icon).

Try a battery pull, or soft reset. If that doesn't help, try going into each folder and marking prior opened...sometimes that works....if not let us know.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ double check that it isn't a bb messenger message if you have it installed.

Any other apps installed that might be trying to tell you something? Maybe the icon isn't for your standard email or text.

I had that happen to me. I ended up pulling out my battery and after I turned it back on, I resent all service books and the hosting route table thing. It made the unread message disappear.

I get this a lot. Get a message or two in, look at them and when return to home 1 unread message.

I just go back into messages and goto the very top and press menu and select mark all prior read, works everytime.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~here is the best method. Goto messagers-view saved messagers and it should be there.

greenandgold52 wins. That did it. Boy do I feel like a dummy. I didn't even know I'd ever saved a message before!

Thanks to all for the help.
