Hmmm, I know someone who works for RIM. And in the past I use to always call and complain about memory leak. They just say it's a known issue and that I must do a battery pull every so often. That story is something else. Who knows...

Let the person show you their bill, with the 2 mths credit. lol

What would you say to them? Did they try to make her prove it? What device? And when you say complained and complained, is that multiple calls back, supervisor stepping in?? Just curious about what really took place...

Must have gotten a VERY good natured rep at tmo. typically if an issue has been going on for that long and hasn't been reported to tmo to try and fix, they won't issue credit for it.

    Sounds like a nice gift!

It just depends on who you talk to I guess. It just doesn't make sense to issue a credit for the loss of service without expecting a little pro-active action on the customer side. It would be bad business (bad for TMO) if credits of this size were being issued regularly.

This is just poor judgment. Seriously this is easily fixed with and update or regular maintenance of your memory.

Do not call TMO and try and get credit. This will not work. The CSRs have better things to attend to than this.

    a bull **** story
i would say my best friends other brother works for rim and told me blah blah blah
then throw in a couple cuss words out of disbelief
its not hard to prove considering that there IS an update out that t mo has been lagging on
as far as the calls go im persian so were good at complaining about stupid bull **** and sticking to it

i was just curious to see what happens if it is it true
i would go slap the store doors with flyers about it
    HAHAHAHA
and if i could find a corp office near my house or work (15 mile radius tops) go there and tag it up with flyers as well

Reddog can we close this thread before it gets out of hand...this is rediculous and probably didn't even happen...if they just gave away free months of service they'd go out of business...what a joke ~via BB 8320~

im not trying to start an argument or anything just doesnt make sense

why wont they release the OS update?
if its such an issue that they know about
it would be fixed in the update
so instead of having customers calling in all the time they should jump on it
    and fix it
    thats just bad customer service
esp for us who sit here on these forums and read about 4.5 but don't want to do an update unless if its carrier released

I emailed a CSR through the t mo website asking when the update would be available
got an immediate response saying it'll take 24 hours for a response
did not get anything back for 4 days saying we'll notify you when the updates available

and as far as regular maintenance of my memory goes
as we all know it comes with 64 mb of memory
i only have one theme installed, three ring tones, and a few pictures and it would randomly erase everything check the status 0 free file bytes
do a batt pull check it again i have 11 free mb
i didnt pay $450 for a problem that a nokia would have hahaha
