    Media Manager problem for the bb 8310 from at&t

    NEED HELP ASAP

    here is the problem load the software for the bb 8310 desktop manger...did that-
    after installation is complete computer restarted. i connect the bb to the usb and run the bb dsktop mang. and after the roxio starts it gives me a message saying-

    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsft Windows application. Choose "close" to terminate the application or click ignore...

    When ever i do both i get the same answer...i have uninstalled and reinstalled twice....and did the same thing when ever i download the program form at&t web site... anyone know anything?

    i belive it has something to do with the way it does the reg files but anyways try uninstalling the desktop manager 4.2sp2 and install 4.2 with sp1 from blackberry web site. or if you really want the roxio media manger some one has posted a way to get the files to register somewhere in here there is a good how to. hope this helps

    you can try this too. i read this earlyer someone else posted this and help others out
    1. Open a command prompt by clicking Start>Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt.
    2. Type the following: cd c:\program files\common files\research in motion\rimdevicemanager
    3. Press ENTER.
    4. Type the following: rimdevicemanager /regserver
    5. Press ENTER.
    6. Type the following: regsvr32 rimdevicemanagerps.dll
    7. Press ENTER.
    8. Type the following: exit
    9. Click Start>Run.
    10. Type the following: regsvr32 oleaut32.dll
    11. Click OK.
    12. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

    did that and that didnt work, so i called at&t they connected me to bb support and rim support, and come to find they cant help me after they walked me through everything...we find out that i have to call microsoft and get something from them...well they 59 bucks to help me with the solution or i had to call HP and they would want money also.....SO I UNINSTALLED THEY PROGRAM FOR 8310 CURVE AND REINSTALLED THE DESKTOP MANAGER THAT I HAVE FOR MY PEARL....GUESS WHAT....SAME VERSION EXCEPT FOR THE ROXIO MEDIA, WHICH IS SO NOW EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT SHOULD....
