media card issues .. help
so i was uploading some files through DM, and all of a sudden when i unplugged my cable from my desktop to my phone, there is an error message that came up saying: " a media card has been inserted that contains errors. to correct the erros please use a disk error checking utility on a computer" what does this mean? it also deleted all my pictures and ringtone.. i have no idea what i did wrong.. i dont care if all my pictures and ringtones are gone, i just dont want that message to keep on coming everytime i charge my phone, or use my DM.
please help... thank you in advance..
Try formatting your media card on BB:
Options>Media Card>hit Menu>Format.
I would also remove and reinsert the media card as well.
that didnt work.. and omg.. i lost all my contacts too.. im so lost...
Contacts are stored on your sim not media card.
Have you backed up recently using DM? If you have
you can restore your contacts.
If not, you should have your contacts stored on your Sim card,
normally your carrier will do that for you before you leave the store.
Try doing a battery pull ~ see if that resets things for you.
haha lavagirl.. thank you for your quick reply.. you are awesome.. so i got it restored.. whew.. but the media card still has issues.. i dont know why it says that.. i tried pulling the batteries out, and also tried taking out the media card as well, and still says the error message.. should i take my phone in? will that be easier?
lavagirl, actually i got it.. yay.. so happy now.. thank you soooooooo much.. what would i do without you... thank you again.. your the BEST!!!
The 8330 CDMA versions do not have SIM cards. Contacts for these and any of the xx30 versions are stored on the device in the devices memory.
