Unlocked SunCom BB 8310 on Tmobile network running 4.5.0.52

Was browsing around YouTube and had watched several videos when I clicked a new link and the media player appeared, but no video started. I've resent service books, pulled the battery, deleted a theme that was installed just before this and a media card error showed up (had to reformat the media card). Still can't get any satisfaction. Strangely, my emails (not sms or mms, just email) seems to be coming in chunks. I'll see the mail hit my pc HOURS before it hits my BB, when it was almost instantaneous before. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't refer me to tinytube or bluapple.mobi or the like. I know of those sites and that's not what I'm looking for. I'm just looking to see if anyone else has had this specific problem without the post turning into a link-fest. Thanks.

Yeah all my browser options are checked, I should have mentioned that. Emulation mode set to BB. Tried it on IE too and that didn't help. The email I'm having trouble with is Aim and Gmail. They're both doing the same thing.

Interesting.....How full is your Gmail inbox? Any large files (over 5 mb)? Hows your device memory? If you remove the sd card completly does that change anything?

When I went to check what you suggested, I noticed that in options>status> only "file free" is listed (8,874,088 bytes), not "file total". I'm going to go through and clear out some old messages and see if I can up that number, it's something I should have done anyway. As far as the gmail box, you mean the number of messages in my actual account on the gmail server or on my device? The amount of space on the server is next to nothing, like less than 5%. There's a pretty good amount on the device, but that shouldn't impact the memory card and the Aim address should it? I pulled the sd card and the problems with youtube and the mailboxes didn't go away. When I reinstalled the card, I got the same error message. I reformatted the card and that was the end of that part. Mail still comes in chunks at times, but if I'm texting back and forth, it seems to work ok. If I go idle for a bit, I won't get mail until I start sending data or something like that. YouTube still doesn't work.

    Lets see....

Memory is a bit low - dont think thats your issue but it cant hurt to free some up...

Gmail - Sorry, I was asking about your actual GMAIL on line account. I am not sure if Gmail is affected but some push accounts will stop working if the inbox has over 400 messages or if there are any attachments over 5mb. The fact that AOL is also impacted makes this less likley the issue....

Puzzling........ I would probably consider reinstalling the OS at this point.

Well the gmail account is WELL over 400 archived messages, but the inbox is never really over 10 before it gets archived. I've had attachments over 5mb floating around in there for a while with no trouble. Hmmmmmm damn, I really don't want to reinstall the os, but I guess it's something to consider. Thanks for the insight Gary. You're a pal.

Been thinking about your issues....occured to me we skipped the easy stuff....Here is what I suggest:

    1. Clean up your memory
    2. If you have not already, resend your service books.
    3. If the problem with email persists, back up your data with desktop manager, delete the email service books (there are 2 for each account CICAL and CMIME) and do a device wipe (Options - Security - General - Menu - Wipe Handheld) This will delete all data on the device. Resend your service books and see if the email functions improve. AFTER TESTING your email functionality restore your data with desktop manager. Make note if the problem returns after you restore data.

Let us know if anything helps!

I cleaned up the memory yesterday and resent service books before posting. Seems that gmail is working more like it should...
