ok ... this has happend before and it was a nightmare to figure out. BUT here we are again... on PINSTACK, posting a thread about my curve (tmo 8320) not being able to read the contants of my media card. It doesnt if show any folders or anything when i open music/videos/ringtones/pictures. but the funny part is when i go to my camera app, click on the menu/blackberry button so i can VIEW PICTURES, and whaaa Laaaaaa... all my pictures from my media card. (other than the sub folders that i have created. my question is.... WHAT HAPPEND?! Is it a currupt media app?? i spoke to someone at T-mo bb help and she recommended the usual, battery pull, re-start... blah blah blah. THen she mentioned i could plug my berry in to my computer and run my application loader app from my desktop manager. that way it would update all my app's..... TRIED IT. Didn't work :0(

anyone have a suggestions or ideas?!!!

    alex,

any idea what caused this? Did you upgrade your OS or install any new applications?

Can you access the card in mass storage mode from your destkop? Is all the data intact?

Copy all to your desktop and reformat the card with the device...see if that fixes the issue.

Just for grins - what brand sd card is it?

when that has happened with my BB in the past, i remove the micro sd card and reinstall, i have found simply removing the battery does not fix it. i think the BB recognizes that the card has been removed and it remaps the file directory upon restart.

dumb question... Do you have media card support turned on to where the BB will allow your computer to access the info on the card?

Yes, I suspect that something has become corrupt on the card - the hope is the format will fix this. Then you can copy your media back on to the newly formated card.

Ok... So the weeknd has come and gone and I am right back where I started. It seems that my computer has some kind of virus that is attacking my K drive (which is my micro sd drive once I connect my berry) I woped my micro clean and even re-formatted it... And it worked on sunday until I connected to my computer and it adds some kind of system folder to my microSD and makes it all wacked out. So I think the only sulution is to whip my computer clean :0(
