    I use alt shift del all the time on my 8900. Its alt RIGHT shift and delete. Its delayed compared to my 8310 that would shut off immediatly

    I never knew about this shortcut until I read this thread....gotta love the stacks!


    It worked for me after 3 tries. Maybe you could press n hold the ALT button, then press n hold the (right side) shift button and the hold the del button. That's how it worked for me. Goodluck.

    Like I said, it took me about 3 times but it did reset.

    Best part is I don't need to. Blackberry is scheduled to reboot shortly before I wake up.

    Exactly.....need to hold those 3 keys down at the same time. Start with alt (left hand) then r shift (thumb on r hand) then depress del......works every time. Good Luck

    I stand corrected, finally got it work. What a pain, took longer to do it that way then to hit quick launch and select quickpull.
