I'm also looking for a decent slip case, except I don't want any clip on it.

I've been using the OEM Curve slip case which is pretty decent overall, although I'd really like to get one that had the flat sides (either leather or elastic sides) so that it isn't so wide (the OEM case tapers on the sides, so it's about 1/4" bigger on both the left and right sides.

The real key for me is to find something THAT DOES NOT HAVE A BELT CLIP, or at least has a removable clip that leaves the back of the case flat so it can be laid on the table or put in my pocket.
Most of the cases I've seen with removable clips leave a nub on the back, which really defeats the purpose of having a removable clip.

Also, I've looked at the clear case and rubberized cases, but I need something that also protects the screen.

Say what you want about the quality of the OEM slip case, but so far, it's still the only one I've found that satisfies my needs.

If anyone has any thoughts, I'm all ears.

    Thanks

Try Forte, I don't know if they do the curve yet, but their customer service is wonderful!!

Get a BSE (best skins ever) for the screen protection---it will make it alot easier to find what you want when you look for a case....
Color---it's nothing but a hue of the rainbow...why do people place such importance in it?

    Re: Looking for a holster/case

Due to recommendations by several for the Fortte cases, I went ahead and just ordered both the 8300 Vertical pouch without clip and the 8300 STiL vertical pouch without clip as I was unsure which style I would prefer more (mag flip top or snap flip top).

    I'll report back once I receive these (3-4 weeks :-( )

Also, does anyone know what the STiL means?
I found a reference to STi in a Fortte case review, but don't know what the letters mean.

    Thanks for the recommendations!

    two questions regarding this case..

    1) how easy is it to slide the phone out of the case when answering a call?

    2) with the case closed, how much does it muffle your ringtones? i ask, cuz' i would hate to miss a call cuz' i can't hear it ringing.

    thanks!

    1) It's as easy "one handed" as any holster or clip I've ever had.
    2) No noticeable difference in ringtone volume.
