    Locking Folders on the 8900

    Hey Guys,

I got another question i can't seem to find the answer for. Like to know if there is a way that i can lock files or folders on the 8900. There are some folders there that i don't want everybody to see.

i normally don't let my berry out of my hands long enough to make that happen, but just in case it did happen.
    Cheers

I am afraid your wife or girlfriend will be able to see them unless you choose to lck the entire device. Yoiu will have to explain that, too! VBG

Sorry then, but right now you will need to likely try some thrid party software to do as you need or lock the entire device.

use filelock....i forgot where i got it from, but it does exactly wut your looking for. FILELOCK works. best thing about it, you lock a movie, file or pic folder, and no one else even knows that its on your phone becuz it wont show up as locked, it just wont show up at all. until you go into the FILELOCK app and unlock it. its good cuz even if you plug in to your computer via USB it will keep the file locked until you unlock it. its FREE, which makes it even better. im sorry i cant provide a link, but im sure if you do a search, you'll find it real quick.

Once you download the app. Go into it, and set up a password. Then all the files you have on your phone than CAN be locked will show. And then just simply click the file once n that's it. Back out. And try it out, you'll notice that either the file doesn't show up anymore, or its not accessible. And when you want to view/retrieve the file, just go back to the app, put in your password n look for the file you locked (normally, the app will put you rite back to the file you locked last) and click it n back out. Done. Hope that helps. Its very useful. I got pix I don't want anyone to see n video too. And also sum papers I've written that I lock. Even stuff from docs to go cod be locked. Try it out. Good luck
