LED light stays on constantly after OS upgrade (AT&T 8300)

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or knows of a solution for it...

I upgraded my OS to the official AT&T 4.5 version this weekend, and ever since, my LED light stays on constantly. When I receive a message, or connect to bluetooth, it will blink, but then stays on when the message is read or I disconnect from whatever device I was paired to (it also stays lit after I end a call). The only way I can get it to turn off is by turning the phone off... but it happens again as soon as a new message/call/notification etc. comes thru.

I've had my BB for over a year without ever having this issue, and it started immediately after upgrading the OS.

I'm sure it's an issue with the OS, and I'll most likely have to downgrade and re-upgrade, but I'd like to avoid that if possible. Plus, it took AT&T so long to finally release their version you'd think that they would've worked out these issues.

    Thanks in advance!

Try pulling the battery when the light comes on and stays.

I've tried a battery pull, but gotten no luck.
The only work-around I've found is marking a message as read, then opening it.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem after upgrading the OS?

nope. I've got 3rd party apps, but nothing for notification (other than gmail, which actually is one of the few things that helps because it forces the LED to blink when I get new mail).

I've tried re-updating with the AT&T official release, and still nothing.

Had this issue with a Pearl.... it was running the colorberry app. When I upgraded to the 4.5 the colorberry app had to be deleted and I replaced it with Blingball.... I don't think you should be running any of those because the curve doesn't have colored leds behind the trackball.

    nope. no colorberry app.
my installed apps are: google mobile, gmail, google sync, viigo, aim, kgb, vlingo, and tv guide mobile.
it's really disheartening. after waiting months for at&t to release their official 4.5 release, there's still some sort of error with the build.

I have the same problem with my BB 8100

My husband and I both have the same problem with our 8100's. We upgraded both phones to the new OS and ever since the LED lights stay on after coming on. They did not do this prior to the upgrade. The only way to get the lights to turn off is to turn the phone off and then turn it back on. However, as soon as a call comes in, the light goes on and stays on. We do have the Color Pearl application on both phones. Maybe we should try the other poster's suggestion and remove this application.
