    LED has suddenly stopped flashing

    Hello all,

I've had my 8900 since Sunday and already a problem. The LED has not flashed since Tuesday. The LED still works, it will come on when charging(solid green, only when the BB is off) or if a soft reset is done, the red light will come on briefly. All options that have anything to do with the LED are on or set to flash.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Do you mean the Coverage Indicator which would be the green blinking LED, or it blinking to alert you of a new email, etc?

Yes. The coverage indicator. Thanks for the correct term.

Go into Options > Screen/Keyboard, you can turn the LED coverage indicator back on in there.

So it's set to on and it still doesn't blink. Hmmmm.... Does it blink when you receive an email or text or anything else?

Not at all. Just comes on when its charging, if the phone is off or during a reboot.

Wow, I'm not sure. Unless someone else jumps in here, the only other thing I can offer is possibly back up all your data, wipe it and reinstall the OS. It could just be faulty too. There are no other settings to turn it off that I am aware of besides in Screen/Keyboard, and in your profile settings.

That's what I was thinking I might have to do. But I wanted to try the forums first. Thanks to you all.

Oh, I will. I don't want to wipe and install. It's a pain in the arse.

You may want to load Freelight and see if it can turn the LED on/off
