    Re: Leaving Blackberry :-(

The iPhone, (according to reputable reports), must be purchased on a minimum of 2 year contract. Sorry no month to month activations. Also it needs a minimum of $60 voice & data plan.

Has anybody heard about the voice quality on the iPhone? I'm a bit leery of the iPhone because Apple has never produced a voice communication device before. There are companies that have been around for years that still struggle with call clarity issues, what makes Apple exempt just because they produce great computers and iPods?

I just had a LG (sic) PRADA in my store and was actually surprised at the low latency level of the soft keypad. Does anyone know how the iPhone stacks up in comparison?

Personally, I'm a BlackBerry addict for life but I'm curious as to how the iPhone compares. No doubt that RIM will respond with some great devices over the next little while. I think they did a great job preempting the iPhone launch with a well marketed named (curve) phone like the 8300.

Anybody that happens to get the iPhone post a string with feedback. We are, I'm sure, all interested in what you have to say.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

If I wanted that much multimedia for that much money I would buy a laptop with an air card. The blackberry has enough multimedia options for me. And I have an athlon 64 at home waiting for me if I want to check out youtube (and didn't cost much more than the iphone)

This is an interesting article put out yesterday. Makes for an interesting read...
By the way 500,000 iphones sold in 4 days is impressive.

actually, it was 500,000 sold in three days...from 6 friday to 6 sunday. The RAZR, when first released, took 6 months to reach 750,000. The iPhone is now the best selling phone device ever...ugh...
