Sasha...all indications are that the L-theme will be one of the standard ones coming up. If you download the 4.3 JDE, there are even references to the theme visible in some of the configuration files there.

I didn't but this one, but I *did* pay $10 for the Today+ version, although I have a sneaking suspicion now that it's not just a matter of the developer doing something clever with Theme Builder, but instead the developer having access to pre-release / beta version of either Theme Builder, a new product to replace Theme Builder, or some of the config / template files that may be still in beta. Just a suspicion - nothing solid to confirm it.

However I'm not complaining too much. I'm enjoying the Today+ theme on the Curve. Not sure it's worth $10, but I'm usually pretty conservative about spending money on items like that, so an occasional splurge isn't too serious.

But I DO think you'll be seeing L-variants of themes pretty frequently once the next release of the OS and/or Theme Builder come out.

Re: Latest 8300 OS: Singapore Telecom 4.2.2.173

So is this still the latest 8300 OS? I see that Cherry has kindly posted the modded BlackBerry.alx file for this OS. Does that just unlock all the themes? To get rid of PTT, do I just not load the files with "PTT" in the name onto the phone?

Will my settings for themes carry over with an OS upgrade? By "settings," I mean the placement of icons, what icons are hidden, etc. with each different theme. I would hate to have to redo all that. I think my settings carried over the last time I upgraded my OS, but I can't remember clearly. I do remember that a couple minor settings with 3rd party apps and the address book custom field title had to be re-entered. Anything else I should know that I probably won't remember from the last time I upgraded my OS months ago? Heh.
