Yup...I saw that but haven't tried it (or needed it) yet. So far, output is fine. But it's good to have the option.

Open the Media Player. Press the menu button. Selection Options. At the bottom under "Media", you'll see a choice for "audio boost" (on/off).

Well this didn't go well at all. Just bricked my phone.
I backed it up before doing the install. Installed, deleted the vendor.xml, plugged it in and let it run. It crapped out somewhere around the "reconnecting to java machine"...and died there. Popped an error message about some type of failure.

Now I have the X out icon on the phone and it's toast. Battery pull does nothing. PC doesn't recognize it via the USB plug.

Any tips on restoring this now?

    Not working....I don't get a USB PIN option...Even with a Detect. I get USB, COM1, COM2 and Bluetooth.

ok...progress....I had to reboot my laptop a few times and finally came up with a USB-PIN option, it installed successfully! Now I'm waiting for the BB to reboot...watching the hour glass is like watching paint dry.

    Ok....this is odd...
I restored my old apps and email accounts onto here, I did the Enterprise activation for my corporate mail. I'm receiving email on all accounts, just fine. However I can only send email from my personal accounts, not my BES corporate account. After composing or responding to a message, there is not even a "send" option in the menu..just Save Draft and Full Menu (Full Menu does not have a Send either).

    What's up with this?

Just upgraded. All went well except now I am toward the end waiting on device initialization. I've been looking at an hourglass for about 10 minutes. Do you think I have a problem?

EDIT: OK it finally initiallized. Whew! That was scary!

yeah, that waiting period sucks, although I have upgraded numerous of times....but when it comes to that initialization...I still get worried sometimes but it's usually ok

apparently, these are the improvements over the old OS...
    • Video Capture
    • Voice Notes Recorder integrated into the Media Manager
    • Playlists function added to the Music player
    • A revamped look and improved functionality to Email/Calendar/Appointment menus
    • The ability to differentiate between SMS and Email inboxes when viewing together
    • Menu View options (short & long)
    • Menu Option for OTA wireless upgrades
am keeping my fingers crossed !!!
