Sasha - if you haven't loaded it yet... maybe you could active BB Dimension Today theme, call your Curve and NOT answer, and see what a missed call looks like -- and then try it again after the new OS is loaded? I was startled to see what a missed call looks like now - changed icon, caption telling me how many missed calls, etc -- as I said earlier, I might have been getting this all along and just had a brain cramp -- or it might be improved. No big deal - just curious.

Also: definitely faster response time on the UI, really liking this part of the new build.

Strange! Mine is still zippy, and I have lots of stuff loaded up, including:
    • Google Search, Maps, GMail and News
    • JiveTalk (which I leave logged in most of the time)
    • BB Messenger (of course!)
    • BBWeather
    • Viigo
    • Beyond411
    • InfoSpace Find it!
    • Y!Go
    • Maufait
    • Operat Mini 4 beta
    • SuperPages Mobile
    • 17 themes all loaded on it (I know - that's a ridiculous waste of memory - must remove some!)
    • 41 ring tones in addition to the standard ones included in the OS

Let's see...I also leave Bluetooth active 24 hours a day so I can pair immediately when I use a BT headset.

This only leaves about 11MB free, but it's still zippy and responds very nicely. Haven't added a media card yet, as I'm waiting for the price to drop a bit more. Once I have one, I'll transfer a bunch of tunes to it as well.

All in all, though, it's a champ! Loaded up and it still runs beautifully.

It was definitely worth it for me. My Curve was bogging down when I had less stuff installed on it. Since the upgrade, I've added a few of the times on the list in my prior post, and it's still zippier and more responsive. I'm guessing that I might have bogged it down completely by now if I hadn't upgraded the OS. I give it a thumbs up

Just -- my timing was almost the same. But this was certainly worth it.

Still hoping that I'll have to do it all over again with 4.3 soon!

Cherri, unfortunately AT&T hasn't posted their 8310 OS yet .. or I just can't find it. I wonder what the differences are. hmmmm.

I checked RIM's site again last night -- every vendor download that offered 8300 OS...this is still the latest. Happy that it works so well and seems so stable. But I sure am looking forward to 4.3!
