When you refer to "Mexico" are you talking about "RIM Mexico"? If your phone has some issues blame it on rim. We mexicans take our work very seriously.

lol they aren't blaming the people of Mexico or any other country but the production lines...

I just got my Pearl from Cingular unlocked (and put it on T-Mobile, cancelled my ATT BB ATT service sucks), just sign up for the free international service, then get the code. They gave it to me without a problem, just call the international service line on the website

I guess I've had good luck on mine. I ordered the first day. I'll have to check where mine was made, but no problems yet.

Not that ALL of them made in Mexico are horrible. Its just one of those things that weve noticed over the past couple production models.

Went through this whole thing on the Nokia threads in Howardforums.com. It was a neverending battle to find a place that had "Made in Finland" units as opposed to China or somewhere else. I think my N73 was made in China and I had none of the creak issues others had talked about.

I guess its all luck of the draw.

Just to set the record straight. I did say nothing personal in my post. I simply said that I personally have had problems with handsets(six of them to be exact) from Mexico. It had to do with the device, not the indivdual building it. Let alone, their work ethic. I most definitely was not trying to offend any one. Sorry for any confusion.

My two cents...I hate to admit this, but I have awapped out 4 Curves and this one is finally perfect. No lag, camera works perfectly and the battery is finally comparable to my Pearl. The battery was my main problem before. Anyway, the prior units were Canadian and this one is hecho in Mexico.

Seems to be the luck of the draw then at this point. I also want to point out that I was in no way making any derogatory accusations against Mexico, its inhabitants, or its production methods. I was only bringing up a finding that had been previously true about device quality and which production lines they came from.
