    JUM Error 513 after trying 4.5 ... Can't go back to 4.2 !!

    i just tried to upgrade to 4.5 but during the process it gave me an error like "unable to reconnect" Now my BB says JVM Error 513. I tried installing 4.2 again but it gave me the same error when trying to install it. What can I do?

    Try this -

    Delete all the 4.5 stuff...reboot your desktop....and use the loader app found here:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

    with nothing else running. When prompted do not back up, and do not load anything but the core OS. You may need to install a clean new 4.2 version as well.

    I think that was the key because now its doing alot more than before. Anyone know why it failed to load 4.5?

    Depends on where you got it. I don't trust the integrity of any of these that are not hosted by RIM....

    worked like a charm AFTER i completly deleted 4.5

    Question Blackberry 8100 JUM Error 513 HELP!!!

    Hi I got a similar message JUM Error 513.. i have followed the instructions that most poeple have posted but I only end up at the desktop software...I need the operating system for the mobile phone....I DONT NEED THE DESKTOP SOFTWARE. I had entered the wrong password in and now i get that message.... any ideas?

    my desktop application loader say there are no software for the device...because everything was wipped of the phone....

    Click on My Blog (linked below) and go to the thread "latest software by device"

    Download and install the software on your desktop. Then follow the instrucitons in the thread on How to Upgrade.
