    Re: Japanese on Browser

    Hello,

AT&T posted CJK version the OS:

    Package Version: 4.2.2.186
    Applications: 4.2.2.89
    8300CJK_PBr4.2.2_rel186_PL2.4.0.39_A4.2.2.89_AT&T. ex

You can install just the Japanese language support, if you don't need to install Chinese and Korean support. Japanese display works on BB browser and elsewhere on the OS.

I wonder if BB will eventually add Japanese input method support to OS updates...not sure how that will compete against NTT Docomo's service. I'm new to BB and wondered if the files for Japanese 8707 can work on other devices. In the metadata file, additional files for Japanese input support were qualified with radio="UMTS". Not sure if just removing that or adding "GPRS" (like the entries for Chinese and Korean in the same metadata file) works...unless the IME depends on UMTS connection?
