Question Is the 8320 I bought on Craigslist a fake

Don't laugh. I bought an 8320 on Craigslist - met the guy, it was shiny and colorful and I thought it would be my initiation into Blackberry. (I currently have a Palm Treo 750.) But within an hour I was wondering if it was "real" or a replica. Are there fake Blackberrys and is there a way to tell?

    Thumbs up

If I had got back two or three responses that said, "Yes, there are a lot of fakes" then I'd be worried. Since seeing the responses here I stopped worrying and started exploring it so no sense listing what made me wonder. It is such a switch from palm - and meeting people in doughnut shop parking lots to buy expensive phones - I think together just made me doubt myself and the BB.

    Thank you for your responses.

I tried researching this a bit and really couldnt find much about fake berrys, i did find an article about someone selling fake batteries but not the device itself. Im sure going from a palm to a berry is a bit weird, i know it was when i switched from my LG phone over to the berry world. So im pretty sure you have a real berry, Enjoy it and feel free to ask questions on here, there is a TON of knowledge on Pinstack.
