How about addressing some of the issues that apply to the current devices?

    You know?

I mean, I hate to say it but; it appears as thought RIM is pulling a "Nokia" on us with plans (speculated as they may be) to release devices of the same nature to only implement one or two additional features.

Who gives a d--- about that when the current 4.2 OS leaves so much to be desired.

How about A2DP (not now but right now)

How about HTML email support. (This may not be practical for some users but a lot could benefit from the option alone)

I could also stand for a redesigned Media Player.

    How about streaming capabilities?

Support for various file types. I.E. Zip, Rar etc.

And if they plan to implement a 2mp shooter into this "new" device-- I hope they add some new capture options.

An updated browser would be nice to.

I hear you word. I think the more people that surface these issues in a constructive way (like you have), the better chance we have at seeing some results.

I agree. The prospect of such is my reason for starting this thread.

Re: instead of releasing the "8300"

RIM doesn't abandon current devices as their history of OS updates has proven. One doesn't preclude the other and I don't see any point in abandoning future releases...

Are you emailing bbsuggestions@rim.com? They need to know what people want/need. RIM does visit some BB forum sites but it's best to get the word directly to them.

Why is this posted in the 8300 forum anyway unless these are 8300 issues?

Yea, I thought about that after posting.

If an admin could move this thread to the proper forum that would be great.

Yeow, "doing a Nokia". Wow, well spotted. Yes I hope they don't start doing that.

The last thing we need is fancy shell designs every 3 months.
