    I feel your pain. I dropped mine tonight at work. The battery and batt cover shot off! Not sure how but I can't find a single scratch! ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    It has to play some part in keeping the phone in there otherwise they would of never put another magnet inside the flap it self or at least maybe there would of never been a flap to begin with.

    I drop my 8120 all the time and it has a barely noticeable scratch on the screen. What makes me mad is that the battery cover comes off much easier than my previous Berries.

    Correct. There is one magnet for the flap closure and another to activate the sleep function.
