HAHA, no im keeping my BB, I just needed a catchy title.

I had some large pics on my Device Memory so i deleted them and have about 25xxxxx bits of memory now. Ill try to find some more pointless files I dont need.

OK.. I get the memory issue... The same thing was happening to my roommate but with her BB messenger. The phone however, was brand new... out of the box new and it started happening withing a week.. Days after her 4.5 upgrade. It was an 8320..she sold it...now got an 8300 did the upgrade and it's happening again. Could it bee the SIM? The upgrade?

No, there is nothing wrong with the SIM. Memory loss is common with all BBs. There is nothing you can do to stop it; you can only slow it down. You should do a battery pull (remove the battery for about 30secs then put it back in) or install apps like Quick Pull or Soft Reset.

My memory issues have gone away now that I have an 8900, but I still use my SD card for storage, clear out messages and the logs (alt-LGLG) regularly and do a battery pull a couple times a week...just to be safe!

I have a thought nobody has mentioned. You know how control+ALT+DEl will restart a computer. Alt+Shift+Del will do the same to any Qwerty BB, one of RIM's shortcuts.

    Hope this helps....

Thank you for all of your responses....they all make sense and sound very useful. However, I just found it odd that the phone was brand new. The only thing done to it was a couple of theme DL's and the T-Mobile 4.5 update....

The memory issue would have made more sense, if she had the phone for a while with lots of other things on it... and then for her to get rid of the phone, then get another one and the same thing happen... Seems a bit odd.
