    I used to work for a corporate store and rememeber being told that as well. I don't know if the Bait and Switch thing ever came into play(not as I recall anyway). One thing a have seen is most of the time the N/C pricing is not put into ads/tv com/ etc for exactly that reason. Don't really care now- workk for an CING/New ATT agent local and we try to help everyone that comes into the store. Of course we also usually have ppl waiting for new devices such as the curve! hope that helps!

    Yay I I just walked out of the greenwich,ct store with one I'm in the car they sold 30 in about 3 hours while I was there the guy was bashing the iphone hahaha

    The business is making money regardless of it being paid for full retail, or under contract. Large or small amount of profit, it's still income.

    Has nothing to do with business idealism, but a sales persons commission, that is all it boils down to! I understand your take on this, but what others are saying is legally you cannot deny any customer (even if they aren't with Cingular) to purchase a product if they are paying full retail. Oh and yes the person can bring it up on you, even though you were "following orders". I've seen it happen under other circumstances.

    But regardless... looking forward to getting mine on Tuesday hahaha...
