I just purchased a China mobile sim card and placed it into my unlocked phone. Now, it seems that the sim has barred my phone and I cannot place outgoing calls. Can only receive and send text messages. How can I unbar the phone? What can I do? Thank you

    SOLUTION:
remove chinese sim card and replace with regular sim.
    bb 8310 isn't a world phone.

hmmm....thats interesting! i thought 8310 is a gsm device and unlocking it will enable its use wherever in the world. i have an unlocked 8300 that i used in India by simply replacing the sim card with an Indian sim card for blackberry.

I thinl that u should go to ur service provider and tell them the problem. They may help, they may not, but they must help.
Who knows...maybe its a sim error.
It has to be working perfectly.

Blackberry 8310 is a Quad Band GSM phone. Yes it should work in China. The issue he is describing sounds more like a service issue or possibly an IT Policy.
