    Understandable, I was hoping however that someone might have had a fix for this already.

    Thanks for your info on putting BBMaps on AT&T phones. I have a 8310. I followed the steps up to finding the shared folder in the common/rim folder..There is no shared folder. I only have the following folders; Apploader, BBBI drivers, modem drivers, RIMDeviceManager, USBDrivers.
    Where do I go from here? I am new to BB and PinStack and love both so far.
    Thanks for your help.....

    Still no support for 4.5? It's no longer beta, it's official! lol

    BBMaps Icon not appearing on ATT 8310 w/ 4.5

    I hope this thread isn't dead.

    I cannot get the icon to appear on my ATT 8310. Is it simply because no workaround has yet been found on OS4.5? It's long out of beta and I'm using the version downloaded from RIM for my device.

    I have 4.5.0.110, have successfully installed BBMaps on the device – it shows on the Applications list as version LBS1.2 and module net_rim_bb_lbs_ribbon.

    But from there none of what’s written here seems to pertain.

    From the earlier post:
    > Follow this path
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8310-v4.2.2.176_P2.5.0.34
    > Find the LBS.alx (make a copy of it and leave it there)

    > You should see this right above what you just searched for.
    <fileset SystemSize="normal" Colour="True" Java="1.0" _vendorID="~102|124|137|119|162|142|183|147|217|175" series="~8800">

    I do not have a shared directory, and search of my entire disc does not show any LBS.alx file.

    In the file I unzipped BBMaps_en_1.2.zip there is a file called lbs_template.alx, and inside that is the reference to the module net_rim_bb_lbs_ribbon.cod

    Inside the lbs_template.alx file I see that basic line, but no info on vendorID. Here’s what mine says:

    <fileset SystemSize="normal" Colour="True" Java="1.0">
    <files>
    net_rim_bb_lbs.cod
    net_rim_bb_lbs_api.cod
    net_rim_bb_lbs_ribbon.cod

    So I cannot change the ~102| since I don’t have it.

    Any pointers on how to get BBMaps icon onto my screen?

    This thread is pretty old and out of date montys.

    I know since 4.5 came out that AT&T users are able to get BBmaps without editing this file. Maybe the Icon is Hidden? Try the "Show All" option and see if it shows up at all.

    I've followed all the steps and they've all been working until i get to
    "Type CTRL+F and search for this net_rim_bb_lbs_ribbon.cod

    You should see this right above what you just searched for.
    <fileset SystemSize="normal" Colour="True" Java="1.0" _vendorID="~102|124|137|119|162|142|183|147|217|175" series="~8800">"

    I've opened that file with a variety of programs and I get some alien code where it just looks like symbols. Since I just got my BlackBerry Curve 3310 3 days ago, I heard from Reddog's previous post that there's may be a command to just show the icon since I can't see it. If so, how can I do that.

    P.S. Would I need to undo some of the things I've done because I think I may have downgraded my OS since I followed those steps on Page 1.
