    How do you delete the following if possible:
    1 = the sample song "MusicDemo"
    2 = preloaded ring tones (individually - not all)
    3 = preloaded pictures
    4 = caller id pics - I deleted the original pic but yet it stays as a caller id

    i really hate these things and they are just there taking up space - Thanks in advance!

    you can delete the "musicdemo" using desktop manager applications loader.
    preloaded ring tones I do not believe are removable, someone please correct me if im wrong.
    preloaded pictures I think are also locked.

    I think youre right saukrateaz, the pics and tones that came installed are there. I looked in the options/advanced options/applications and there was no listing of them.

    Remove all these from the Java folder:
    net_rim_bb_media_320x240_b
    net_rim_bb_media_tunebundles_sonicnetworks

    But do a backup first in case you accidentally delete something you didn't want to.

    ^^To all above asking

    The easiest way to do this is to open the BlackBerry.alx file in notepad and do a "find" for this: net_rim_bb_media_320x240_b.cod and net_rim_bb_media_tunebundles_sonicnetworks you should see something like the following code:
    <fileset Theme="Normal" Colour="True" Backdrop="68M_320x240" series="8300" Java="1.0">
    <files>
    net_rim_bb_media_320x240_b.cod
    </files>
    </fileset>

    Add the following into the first line: _vendorID="111" (or to a vendor ID other than yours) so it looks like this:
    <fileset Theme="Normal" Colour="True" Backdrop="68M_320x240" series="8300" Java="1.0" _vendorID="111">
    <files>
    net_rim_bb_media_320x240_b.cod
    </files>
    </fileset>

    This will tell the BB Application Loader that the .cod file is not for your BB and to remove it from the BB. This can be done to remove any type of file or app that you don't want on the BB. It also is better than deleting the file since most people may accidentaly delete it for good. You can also go back and remove the _vendorID section you added and the App Loader will reload the file.

    Let me know how it works.

    It's an all or nothing since they are in one file.
