I write poetry from my PC and I just dumped all of my document files into my micro sd. How do I search for them to transfer into my Memopad?

You can use the media manager in the desktop manager to see the files, or if you enable mass storage mode for the media card, you can use windows explorer. However, you can't do any file reading, or cut/copy paste functions. You can think of your media card as a storage only drive; to do anything with the info stored on it (if it's not a media file), you have to transfer the data from the media card, do whatever you're going to do with it, and then transfer it back.

You can see them and you can move them but you can't open or edit them.

To see them go to: "Media" > "Menu" > "Explore" > "Media Card"

To move them: "Media" > "Menu" > "Explore" > "Media Card" > "Menu" > Then you can find you file and copy or move or send the file.

Ahhh, hadn't tried w/ excel and word files, sorry.

You can't move them like that, You can't see a "memo" folder to move them to.

The only way I know is the long way...by emailing ur files from ur pc to ur email n open up ur email on phone n copy/paste to memopad. Takes forever! But it works ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

If you explore the SD card from the BB you can see folders and files. I have a folder called stuff, I can see a word, excel, and a pdf file listed. Problem is, it can't open them, I get a white screen with a black border at the top. Put a jpeg in there and it can open it.

The 4.2 BB devices, can open doc, xlz and pdf fies as attachments and from the Browser. As of yet there is no native stand alone reader capability for these files. 3rd party S/W is required.

Create a new memo in outlook. open the document you want. cut and paste it into the memo, give it a title and save it. next time you use desktop manager make sure you sync your memos with your blackberry. I don't know what it will look like but it will work.

Seeing them in an email and saving the email- then working with and saving the file isn't an issue. The issue is putting the file onto the sd card. You can't see or opne a nonmedia file if you simply save it to the sd card
