    Question how do i get bberry messenger back on my curve??

    Advertisement

    i just got my bberry curve 8330 yesterday. i had the 8830 world edition before that and while i am generally very good at this kind of stuff i cant seem to get this fixed. during the process of moving my info from my 8830 and removing all the "not used" applications (maps, sample videos, etc) i deleted my blackberry messenger. i have literally spent hours trying to get it back. At first i thought no big deal i'll just go to my internet home page and download it with the OTA link. it keeps giving me the error message "sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support blackberry messenger 4.0 and 4.1" i have tried everything i know to do. I did a master reset and it still wasn't there. I then tried putting my info from my 8830 back on it and it is still not there. if there is anyone who can help me it would be greatly appreciated!! thanks in advance!!!

    Try resending your service books from the BIS website for your carrier.

    What link are you using to download it? You should be able to get it from http://mobile.blackberry.com and it should autodetect your OS and give you the correct version.

    If that doesn't work, you can reload it with desktop manager and the latest OS from your carrier.

    Did you try installing it from your Desktop Manager?
    You have two ears, two eyes, and one mouth;
    therefore, listen and observe twice as often as you speak.

    What did you update? All os or
    just BBM

    Try this link. It works both OTA and IE Web Install:
    http://www.blackberry.com/devicesoft...ry.do?code=bbm

    If you get a message that your device is invalid using it OTA, try using IE and the Web Installer. Your computer will need BlackBerry drivers installed, but you can get them through Windows Update as well as from the BlackBerry download site.

    I am confused on how to use app loader instead of OTA.
    I m looking to delete my BBM and readd it. Noone is receiving my requests to add them.

    i went to bberry.com selected downloads, clicked on the bberry device and desktop software tab, then access your service provider download site, then desktop software 4.3.. after the download i rebooted my laptop, hooked up my phone and ran the desktop mgr it came up with all the apps to choose from to put on my phone.. which is pretty sweet because i had the zen plus theme on my 8830 but it wasnt available for my curve but it let me load it and it works perfectly... once again thanks everyone for your help... i litterally spent almost 10 hours working on this..
