    When I attempt to set up sync with tmobile curve and office 2000 pro, desktop manger stops responding and shuts down? Any help?

    Hi jebrank and welcome to pinstack!

    I assume you are syncing to Outlook 2000? What version of Desktop Manager are you running?
    Have you configured the SYNC yet in Desktop Manager? If not you need to go into the SYNC application and go to the Configuration Tab and Configure Sync.

    Not sure about the "shutting down" issue, any more details of exactly what is happening would be helpful, however I would suggest an un-install and re-install (of DM) might correct this.

    what happens is when I go to configure it, it closes down. I have read the forums on how to set it up and have done it before. I am trying a uninstall and reinstall. Will post after

    Re-installed and same thing, it acts like it is going to work when I try to configure contacts, then it stays device manager has stopped working. I am running vista, dm 4.2

    Where did you get the version of DM, if its from the disk I have heard it quite buggy. Download one from the Rim site and that might help.

    Yes, 4.2 had issues with Vista - Suggest your ugrade to Desktop Manager 4.3. Download is available from the RIM website:

    It is a big file and lengthy download so be prepared to take some time but I suspect this will help!

    I have installed that and it does not give me a option for outlook at all, only outlook expres! damn
