    Help with a few problems?

    Hey

i just bought the curve 8310 with internet and blackberry server on it.

im new to blackberrys and just had a few queries, i was wondering

how to set an mp3 as the ringtone?
how to set up 'vibrate and sound' alert for emails/texts?
can you set up a blackberry to automatically link into an available wifi?
and whether the 'blackeberrymessenger' would work between different countries?

any help would be awesome, thanks!

To set the ringtones open profiles and scroll down to advanced. Pick the option you wish to change. Once you do you should see where to change tone, set vibrate etc. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

BB messenger is data based so you should be able to talk to anyone. As far as setting ringtones click on profiles and go to advanced then you can pick whatever setting you want to change tone in like normal then click edit.

You can then change alerts for calls, mms, bbmessenger etc. As far as the wifi someone else will have to get that one. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    Luke....Welcome to BB and Pinstack!

You can set up ring+vibrate in your profiles however as a new BB owner you need to be aware that means vibrate THEN ring (not at the same time). Just go to Profiles - Advanced - Select your active profile and scroll down to the app you want to change...don't forget to save it!

What device do you have (fill out your profile when you get a chance) If you have wifi (say an 8320 or 8120 device) You can add a network under set up wifi and you will be given a chance to save it as a WIFI Profile. Once it is saved IF you have set your device to WIFI preffered (manage connections / mobile network options) it should connect automatically.

BBM should work internationally if both devices are BB and both have active data (uses data not SMS)...

Hope this helps - ask away if you still have questions!

The 8310 does not have the Wi-Fi feature
