Question HELP please - Problem receiving .jpg files

I have a problem in getting .jpg files on my bb. Have a Curve 8330, running 4.5.0.127, NOT on BES.

If I send myself a test email from Outlook and attach a .jpg file, it comes through on my Outlook as a .jpg file, but on my bb as a "winmail.dat" file, which the bb then tells me it cannot open ... "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device."
However, I have gotten some .jpg files OK.

What is wrong and most importantly, how do I fix?

    Thank you

Did you sent it in the email, or did you send it as an attachment?
It should always work as an attachment.

Forgot to mention that I do use Outlook 2007.

Thanks, Cobra. I also have Outlook 2007 and I am sending the .jpgs as attached files, not embedded in the message. Have tried sending large files, small files, & files which were large but used Outlook to "resize" for sending. Same problem. Don't understand why. It is a bb issue as the test email that comes back to me in Outlook has the attachments as .jpgs.

Thanks to everyone for their help!
