    Ok I need a little help. I'm giving my mom my curve, because I wanted the sunset one but I can't remember how to restore her informaion from her pearl to the curve help please.

    I also switched from the pearl to the curve,and used Desktop Manager with no problems.

    Yes, I moved from a Pearl to my Curve, and used the advanced backup option from the Desktop Manager. Worked like a charm, I just moved over stuff I knew I'd need, like address book, sms messages, bookmarks, and not any of the service books or whatever else is device-specific... since the new device will get those on its own.

    Not 100% sure but I don't think you can transfer the 3rd apps or can you?

    Thats correct, you will need to re-install your 3rd party applications. Make sure you have your install files or OTA links and any registrations before you wipe your other device clean. (the switch device wizard does not wipe your old device)

    yeah plus most of the time your switching from pearl to curve or curve to 8800 etc etc so most if not all of the 3rd party apps wont work with the new device that you switch to

    Quick question...my son broke my pearl so I got the curve. The buttons on the pearl don't work anymore but is there a way to get my pics off it? It was really easy to lock the keypad on the pearl how do you lock the curve?
