    Help please for blackberry 8350

I bought a blackberry 8350i from Ebay and just plugged my boost mobile sim card and it did work very good in sending and receiving calls. I also can receive sms but it doesn't show the sender also I can't send back . I don't have an option to send sms !
Also when I go to compose email and try to send one I get this error " No Message Services configured. You will only be able to save Draft. "
    Any help ?

I am not familiar with boost but I would try going to options/advanced options/host routing table and then clicking menu and registering your device. Also if you have the option you can try resending service books.

blackberry was never offered on BOOST Mobile... this means no service books... right? check that too.... so if you dont have that functionality setup on your account you cant use it. i would call boost and see what they have to say.

There have been people who have been able to use BlackBerrys on Boost Mobile.

use blackberrys yes. but not the blackberry service. Being a former Boost user i know Boost has no BIS.

Boost definately doesn't have BIS, but should be able to configure their internet services to where you can browse and possible use a 3rd party mail client to access email... Obviously the bb mail client will not work...

I've seen a few people try to use the berry on boost. Calls and sms yes, no mobile web though. Be careful as I've seen the new software brick an 8350 with a boost sim in it *edit* and if the device was flagged lost/stolen it definitely will never get any data

Wow... The possibility of getting a berry bricked... I wouldn't take the risk... I'd rather sell a working berry n pick up a boost phone with the money I make from the berry...

Technically just to get the sms working you just need to change the service center number to whatever their's is...

Can't say anything about the OS bricking em... But this should be fairly simple and harmless...
