Hi Fleshka, Usaly it is a memory leak, we need to know the device you have, makes it easier to help. But on the latest devices that have a memory card, it is good to have on so pictures and things are stored there instead of on the device memory, Also take the battery out once in a while to free up the most memory, truning it off and on will free up a little, but pulling hte battery with the phone on will do the most.

On the Curve hold down the ALT key, the right shift Key, and hit the Delete key, this will reboot the device and close anything that is running in the back ground, I do mine once a week. The memory leak is just a software glitch, the blackberry "Thinks" it is getting too low on memory to run, so it starts making space, the first thing to go is Text messages, and call logs, So any thing that can be moved to the Media card, make sure you do that , and delete anything you are done with. this frees up for things you really need to have.

Just make sure when you are done with the program you hit menu and click Close. you can see what is runnning by holding alt and hiting the Back button, but again the best option is to get in the habit of taking the battery out or the keys strokes I mentioned above, I do mine every Wednesday morning and never have an issue.

Hey Jbee, you should go to geekandproud.net and download the soft reset program. It's free and gives your BB the same reboot as powering off and pulling the battery.

It's perfect for us pearl owners who don't have the alt/shift/delete shortcut and eliminates the battery pulls.
