    Help! JiveTalk not working on OS4.50 Beta

    Hi All

    Help!!!

    I have an 8310, my favourite app JiveTalk is not working now that I have installed OS4.5 Beta.
    When I try load the programme I get a message 'java.lang.NullPointerException'.

    Does anyone know how to overcome this?

    what version of jivetalk are you running? If you have the latest version try removing it then reinstalling it to see if it fixes the java error.

    thanks, done that a number of times. even got the latest version via the 8310 but still comes up with the same error.

    hmmm, have now just completely wiped my device and installed it and still got the same error.

    is it possible to roll back the OS to 4.2, cos I have to have JiveTalk.

    Load Documents to Go with the DTM, it will be fine after that. I had the same issue and others have posted the same results. Not sure why but it solves the problem.

    try going to options then advance options then applications and find jivetalk once found then highlight it and click the menu button and choose edit permissions
    and make sure that everything is allowed. also once done go to the app itself if you can open it once in click menu botton and choose preferences and try changing the mobile network transport from one to another. also you need to make sure that your APN settings are set in options\advance optinos\TCP

    desktop manager

    Load DTM, go into application loader, then make sure the "documents to go" is checked and click next/finish......problem solved

    Its the Beta OS that has the Docs to go.... You have to download the latest BETA version of OS 4.5.0.69 for the 8310 Curve.... it will install the Docs to go for you.......
