Help BBM issue!! not 5.0 related
I recently got a replacement Curve and i have synced everything. Everything is working fine except for my BBM. all my contacts are gone! Its not a big deal to me since all my PINS are saved in my contacts but when i try to add my contacts it says, "contact already exists" but i cant see them?!?? So i can't add people back and i cant delete them to re-add them either.
Need help please!

Sounds like maybe a bad BBM database. When you say you synced everything, you mean you did a restore or just synced the calendar/task/notes entries? When you browse through your contacts in your address book, the PIN numbers are shown in their entries?

Did you back up recently or use the switch device wizard? If so, try this.
Open Desktop Manager (with device attached)
Back Up / Restore
Advanced
File - Open...browse to a recent back up - file extension will be .ipd
On the left side select the Blackberry Messenger database and click on the arrow pointing right.
This should reload your contacts.

pin numbers are still there

I would try Gary's suggestion. If for some odd reason that doesn't work, in Desktop Manager, go into Add/Remove and click Blackberry Messenger so that it says 'Remove'. Let it finish up and re-connect your device and run DM again. It should recognize that BBM is not installed and want to install it. Let it and once it's done, it should have your people back in there again.
