GPS Programs - Help Needed :)

Hello and sorry on before-hand If this has already been covered/answered
but my queries yeled no result that's why I created this thread

I want to use the most of my BB (as any other owner would)
    and especially It's GPS capabilities..

I would like to have a program In my BB that would show me
current coordinates / speed / course
I don't want to continuously use my connection
    Just the above mentioned data
(Optionally I'd like to keep a route record and let me either upload It
manually by means of my MAC/PC or just OTA)

I already tried my luck with adaptA pTracking
but the app just kept showing me It's welcome screen and that's all

I was PM-ed about a simple yet powerful app that does exactly what I'm looking for
plus It does a whole lotta more!
bbTracker seems to be the Ultimate solution!!

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-

The second thing that I'd like to Install Is a GPS route/drive-me Application
with Offline maps and no need to use my data conection
I again tried my luck with Garmin but I'm not so happy and many ppl
kept telling me that there are much better alternatives
So I would like your Insight on a good GPS route/drive-me application with ONLY offline maps and a pretty good coverage of Europe

    Thank you!

I am in the process of evaluating two free programs I recently downloaded OTA into my 8310; Nav4All and InstaMapper.

Nav4All is a GPS turn by turn and free until 2010. InstaMapper is a GPS Tracker.

Maybe these two applications are what you are looking for in GPS navigation.

For speed, track recording and offline maps, I would suggest TrekBuddy. It won't do route calculations, but it does everything else.

It's a bit tricky to install, but once you get it on your device it works great. Also, it records tracks in .gpx format on the media card which most apps don't.
