    GPS on 8900

    So I never really used the GPS on the 8900 and figured I would try it out today on BB Maps. I noticed that when I try to find my location based on GPS that it 1. It takes forever or 2. The GPS dosent work. Has anybody noticed this?

    Make sure your GPS is on.

    Option/advanced options/gps
    make syre gps services location is on. I also use google maps they are a lot nicer than bb maps. And if you want download Amaze its a great free nav system.

    Also, the first time it *will* take forever. You are doing a cold sync -- it can/will take between 2.5 minutes (for new gps chips) and 5 minutes (old gps chips) -- not sure which one is being used by the 8900.
