Got replacement Curve, need help transferring email address, and which DM??

    Hi all...

So my now former Blackberry crapped out on me, and I would like to get my email address back that I had on my defunct Curve, so I have a few questions:

What is the procedure of transferring my @att.blackberry.net email address to my new Curve??? I'd hate to lose it over my BB breaking...

Also, where are we with OS 4.5? I have 4.5.0.52, and I see there is one higher one, 4.5.0.55!?? Is this still a beta release?? AT&T still has 4.2.2 on their site. What's the difference between .52, and .55??

Finally, the Desktop Manager. I see DM 4.6 is out. But then again, so is DM 4.5. Is 4.6 for the Blackberry Bold, or should I use 4.6 for the Curve as well?

    Thanks guys!

When you change the PIN number on the BIS page to your new device the @blackberry address (and your other email accounts as well) should follow you - no problem.

You can use Desktop Manager 4.6 with any device if you wish.

Awesome, thank you. So I can just download ANY 4.6 from ANY of the various carriers on the blackberry.com site, and they're all the same??

What about OS 4.5? I know there is at least .55, but I think I saw another, even more recent one floating around. Which one is the latest?

Thanks for the super fast response!

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~you would need the dm as high as you os. So if you have 4.5 all you need is dm 4.5 or if your like me I have 4.6 just in case. Isn't any better than 4.5 but its nice to have.

The OS (currently) doesn't require the same DM. I run 4.2 on my system but have 4.5 installed on the phones we use in our shop.

Ok, 4.6 it is. Now...I have 4.5.0.52, but am about to install 4.5.0.55. Is this a good idea, I want to ask, before I pull the trigger. What is RIM thinking with these tons of releases? I've never seen a company do this.

    Latest OS u asked..

    OS 4.5.0.78 for 8100, 8120, 8310, 8320, 8800, 8820.

    OS 4.5.0.77 for 8130, 8330, 8830.

But then again, we could be beyond those OS by now

I wish that 4.5.0.77 could be found for 8130.

I have two more questions: Every time I click on a link in one of my emails, and it contains pictures, I am ALWAYS having to go to the menu and select "Get Images". There has got to be a way to automate that. It's really annoying to have to do that every single time.

Also, about the Blackberry Messenger. When I add a new contact, it asks for either the PIN or an email address. I tried adding email addresses, but that never works. What am I doing wrong here?

    Thanks all!
