That's tru with t month how ever u have to talk to a t month rep 3 time and each time they have to send you to RIM if RIM can't fix it they will send you back to T-mo so now bout this time I'm just tired. But I did get to a customer specialist who offer the 8900. Did I take it no. Thank god tho my. Last wipe did the trick so far. So now I have a great phone plan with no contract

    curve gone bad

I have to say that I am not happy with the curve either. I am about to receive my third one via TMO and so far the first had major key pad probs where I could not type to add contacts, send emails or texts. grrrr. The second one that I receive three months ago shuts off randomly and always at the best times like when I am on the phone with a client and then I can't get back to them for 10 mins because I have to do a battery pull to get the phone working again. The shut off happens so much I don't even bother putting the back cover on any more. Have I been offered any consolation for the major headaches. Nope, and I have been with TMO for 5 years. I should have gotten a free month of data plan when the keys didn't work and I should at least get a discount on the service plan this month for the 5 battery pulls I have to do every day. So yeah, not to thrilled with the curve or with TMO at this point.

Have you asked TMO or told them how you feel? My husbands Curve kept reseting itself and TMO sent him another one right away. BB support said was due to new 4.5 upgrade and offered a replacement. Maybe call back and ask to speak to BB tech support?

Yes, I have spoken with tech support and they took me through the application loader steps and all sort of other steps. Today, after talking to the reps over there at TMO they said they are just going to send me another curve. This will be the third in under a year. It may be due to the 4.5 OS but I don't know. There has to be a glitch somewhere whether it be in the OS or the hardware itself. I have no idea. At this point I have gone through 4 months of frustration with the curve. You would figure they would do an upgrade or some kind of consolation in my service fees.

I have friends that absolutely love the phone. And when mine did work, I couldn't imagine being without it. I would take an old rotary phone and lug it around in backpack at this point and send my mail via carrier pigeon

You should ask for the new 8900 and tell them that you refuse to get another 8320.

    Not a Fan Anymore

Last night was the last straw. My curve has been shutting off randomly and I do the battery pull to get it working (see previous posts). I am on the phone with a major client. He called my cell so I pick up and we start to talk about a job he needs me to do. Great! Then WHAMMMO the curve shuts off. I scream NOOOOOOOOO then pull the battery, put it back in, it starts to go through it's usually long reboot and then it shuts off. OHMYGOODNESS. There is no way for me to call him back. I have to wait out the traffic and get home to do it. So first I call TMO and this time I say forget the curve, I don't want it, keep the one you are sending. I never want to see another one of these things again. I have been with TMO since 04. Never have been late in paying my bill, never got reimbursed for the loss of data service in Sept and Oct when the key pad stopped working and now I am dealing with this? After letting off steam to the poor customer service rep that had to hear it, (she was so sweet and understanding as TMO reps usually are) they connected me to the customer loyalty dept. They offered me what ever phone I wanted plus to $$ off my bill. I was going to drop them. Man was I angry. I didn't yell though. I told them that paying them the 200 to drop the contract would save me the money in asprin this phone has caused.

Right now my curve is sitting on my desk at work dead. The second one I have had in a year with a third one on the way. I will check out the 8900 but what else would you guys recommend. I have had two bum curves. Not a fan anymore

I totally understand. Back in 2007 I went through 2 8100's before I finally got the third one that worked. I had the exact same problem as nikon with the random shutdowns.

Seeing as you use a full keyboard blackberry, I would suggest the 8820 if you can live without the wifi. That's the only other full keyboard blackberry TMo has. The 8900 is supposed to drop in a few days so you could get the 8820, take it back when the 8900 comes out and exchange it. You do have a 14 day grace period.

Since you've had such an ordeal, they would probably even send you the 8900 now as they've done with countless other customers here the past couple of weeks.

That is a good idea. I will pick up the 8820 today then bring it back to them on the 11th. When I asked about the 8900 they said they could not send it out yet. I have to wait for the 11th.
