just out of curiosity is this a good signal to have because im not exactly sure which is up or down because it has a "-" infront of the numbers, and either way i thought it was on a scale of 0-100

The closer it gets to zero, the better. In other words, -50 is better than -100.

I'm sitting at -90 right now, and my wireless data and voice performance is less than desirable.

Usually you get good performance with signal strenght better than -90. With -110 probably you cant make or receive a call. This levels are really low power. As reference 30dB is 1Watt, and 27 is 0.5W, and 24 is 0.25W and so on.... ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
