Free up Memory on Blackberry 8310

    Hey All,

I use a lot of 3rd party apps on my BB and need to maximize my space on the device, by modifying the blackberry.alx file what apps have been found that can be safely removed, I already removed VAD from the device. I do use the device ONLY for data so if someone knows what files to remove to remove phone that would be helpful as well. Thank you.

BTW I am fairly confident in my abilities, just trying to weasel as much space as I can.

You could also try deleting the sample video that comes with your bb and also clearing the event log. I constantly delete my event log. To delete your event log, hold down the left ALT and press L+G+L+G. Then, press the bb button (the one with the dots) and clear log. Verify deletion.

    catstide,

Yeah, just ignore it when you connect your DM. Unless you have to add/remove something then it will all go back. I don't add or remove anything using DM so I just ignore.
