8gig in my 8330 curve and 8130 Pearl, and 16 gig in my Bold, 8900 and 8220.

    Never had to format them.

I am having the same problem. I got my 4 gig memory card yesterday and put it in my phone. I followed the phones directions and attempted to format my disk it froze like it would wen changing your theme and i assumed it was working on formatting it. I set it down and forgot about it. This morning wen i woke up, it was still frozen on the media screen. Wut is really good??

    Hey all*,
I am having a slight problem with mine as well. I have a 2gig sd installed. Every so often, out of the blue, it restarts on me. I have formatted and reformatted the sd card; but now not even sure it is the prob. Any known issues like this with the

Joey, you may want to try DL the latest OS for your phone found here_http://forums.pinstack.com/showthread.php?=92070. It sounds like youre having issues related to your OS.

    Thumbs up 16gb card

I use a 16gb on my 8900 and to format a full 16gb card it takes 10 seconds through my Javelin. It depends if your OS can handle a memory card that big. I can speak for the 4.6 OS's that it can take up to 32gb no problem. Check your OS's memory card compatibilites. Hope this helps!

Also Don't format it to the NTFS file system!
    Format it to FAT32 only!
Otherwise the BB won't be able to read it.
And do a Full format, not the Quick Format.

There is a built in file viewer on your BB. Just go to your media folder and on the page that shows music, video, ringtones, pictures and voice record hit the menu button to the left of the trackball. You will see explore, click that and you will be able to browse all files saved to your device and memory card.

I agree with everything except the Full format. I have found that full format takes FOREVER and, unless you are worried about shadow files the quick format does just as a good a job in seconds as compared to minutes.

Just a personal preference I suppose.

    I suppose it is too.
Being in my line of work, I've seen it too many times where the "leftover" files on the card or hardrives come back to wreak havock when another file tries to overwrite it. Otherwise we would never use diskcheck to repair them.
I'm not too busy to do a full format once.
