Question Fed up with BIS after device switch.

I recently upgraded to a 8300 and was very happy for the first day or so. Then suddenly I started receiving double emails on one of my three accounts. After three days of fighting it, I finally fixed that, then suddenly, on the same account, I receive no emails at all. I can send, just not receive. I have done everything, resend service books, delete account, register....etc. I have been dealing with this for a week now and its pissing me off. Do any of you have any suggestions?

Which account is it that you're having the trouble with?

My suggestion is: Delete the accounts, set them up again and resend the servicebooks via you're BIS-Account.

Sorry Lava its late in the evening and I overread this. But if the OP did it in the same direction he wrote he has resent the servicebooks before resetup the account.

Good point. The correct order is important here. Resetup, then resend the books. If it was done the other way around then it is not going to work.

I have two earthlink accounts and one @att.blackberry account. It is one of the earthlink accounts (the one I use the most). I resent the service books both before and after deletes. I have done several deletes with no luck. After one delete, I waited 24 hours after adding it back on.

Have you looked into your email set up on the earthlink account? See what you have enabled on the account. It may be that the problem lies with the way your earthlink account is set up rather than how BIS is set up.

I have had a blackberry for almost three years now. I have never changed my settings in earthlink. Besides, both of my earthling email addresses are on the same account, set up identically. Only, one works and one doesn't.

Ok you wrote that you have two mail adresses to one account. Just like

    Blah@youraccount.com and
    Blub@youraccount.com.

And I guess that Blub@youraccount is you're main mailadress.

Perhaps Blah@youreaccount.com is merged (or something) from eartlink with Blub@youraccount.com? In that case the mails are forward or redirected inside the earthlink server and 'not new' for the BIS.

The BIS-Server see only the 'new' mails in youraccount.

So pls doublecheck this with eartlink to see if they do anything to your account.

I hope I describe it as clear as possible and HTH
