what is the fastest way to delete mail? i usually have to hit the Blackberry button and they D(delete), then enter. I know I can delete Prior to a certain date, but I need to keep certain emails.

I have Google Mail app installed and all I have to hit is D to delete. Why cant Blackberry mail be like that?
Upgraded the BlackBerry Curve to BlackBerry Bold 12/1/08.

If you change your options to not require a confirmation of deletion (open e-mail folder, click BB button, Options>General Options>Confirm Delete), you can then use your Delete button to quickly delete a highlighted e-mail.

another, more faster way, would be to simply highlight the date>open menu> select delete prior.

this deletes everything on and before the highlighted date.

If you only want to delete selected ones that are in a row, you can: hold down cap and scroll your ball down-hit menu & delete messages. I use this method when I want to keep some.

Didn't know that one, Jbee. Was wondering if something like that was possible.

    Thanks.....

That method does work great... just don't make the mistake and scroll PAST an e-mail you would like to delete. Scrolling BACK up to that e-mail will de-select all you have selected.
It may not be a problem if you only have a few e-mails...but if it's been a few days and you're trying to do a "clean up"...it can get frustrating.
    Best of Luck!
