Error trying to install OS4.5
I have the 8330 with Telus, downloaded the MTS OS 4.5 and when I tried to install the exe. file on my computer I got the error message [450_b016_multilanguage.exe is not a valid Win32 application.]
I tried dowloading the file on my brand new laptop and the exact same message appeared. If anyone knows what is going on or can assist me in anyway it is greatly appreciated.
I'm using a TELUS 8330 as well and i've been running v22.214.171.124 for about 1 month now and i've never had any issues and i hear there are some bugs with the MTS 4.5 so i haven't changed yet so i recommend not putting that MTS version yet on your blackberry
When I installed, I did the following:
I uninstalled all previous versions
Uninstalled desktop manager
Reinstalled new version of desktop manager (4.5)
Installed the MTS OS for the BB
Install went fine with no issues.
I just installed the new version on my phone, and it crapped out during the backup process where it saved the applications installed on the phone. Once I rebooted the phone, I was able to do the upgrade, but I lost all my Sprint applications, along with my themes and my BB messenger contacts.
Any ideas on how to restore my contacts?
