Question Error message when trying to open applications

I recently downloaded several newspaper apps to my bb. Unfortunately, when I try to open the WPO, USA Today or NY Times apps, I get an error message that says "connection timed out." The odd thing is that I don't get that message when I open the app for WSJ. Can someone help??

    thank you!

It could be a number of things (you should post which device you have and what OS/App version you're running). You may need to configure the APN settings on your device for those app's to work properly (Options, Advanced Options, TCP). What to put in there depends on what carrier your on (a google search with your carrier name and APN Settings in the search dialog should find it easy enough).
Could also be your coverage - how many bars do you have and what state does your radio say? (will vary if you're GSM or CDMA). Also, if your device supports wifi, does it also time out over wifi?

Here's a great site to get your APN settings, if that's what the issue turns out to be.
